"Mumford DeJarnette's will is recorded in Anson County, North Carolina, 1823. Bible records from the Bible of Mumford DeJarnette. This Bible is now (1954) in the possession of Mrs. M. F. Hunter, Birmingham, Alabama. The entries for the most part are in the handwriting of Frances Hannah (Pickett DeJarnette, until her death in 1840, when the entries are in the handwriting of her daughter Martha Owen (DeJarnette) Robinson."
