Simon Gentry

In May 1780, Simon Gentry was listed in the Roster of SC Patroits in American Revolution as a Sergeant in Militia after the fall of Charleston by Gen. Clinton. A claim was filed in South Carolina (page 251, claim #50) on May 9, 1785. In March 1797, he is listed in South Carolina County records to in the Spartanburg district and the 1790 census of Edgefield County, South Carolina shows name spelled "Jentry."
