America J. (Parker) McDaniel was born in either SC (1850 Talbot Co., GA census) or GA (1860, 1870, 1880 Drew Co., AR censuses). America md. Louis James McDaniel on June 10, 1847 in Talbot Co., GA. It is believed that America J. McDaniel died about 1890.
According to her grandson, William Milas Jackson Lemley, who remembered his grandmother, America McDaniel was a full blood Choctaw Native-American, (no censuses list her race as Indian). According to the story that her grandson, Walter Wilson Lemley, heard, America J. McDaniel was buried in an unmarked grave outside where the fence that now surrounds Center Point Cemetery now is.
