"Ernest Toliver Grissom, 92-year old retired farmer, died unexpectedly Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mattie Land, in Dunlalp. Funeral services were today at 2 p.m. in Love-Cantrell Chapel with Rev. Carl Smith officiating. Burial was in Long Cemetery in Van Buren County. A native of Van Buren County, Mr. Grissom was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Clark Grissom. A son of the late Phillip and Lou Simmons Grissom , he was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Land, Mrs. Elizabeth Hillis, Bone Cave, and Mrs. Maxine Sweeney, Lincoln Park, Mich., and three sons, Teron Grissom, McMinnville, Clark Grissom, Brevard, N.C., and Jimmy Grissom, Muncie, Ind. Also surviving are three brothers, A. E. Grissom, McMinnville, Harold Grissom, Spencer, and Lee Grissom, Bone Cave, two sisters, Mrs. Lela Hale, Spencer and Mrs. Bell Johnson, McMinnville, 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
