Individual Details

Daniel Hitt enlisted in Union Army in August 1861 and participated in battles of Stone River, Vicksburg, and Chickamauga.wounded and spent time in Confederate prison. He was mustered out in May 1865. He settled in Atchinson County, Missouri. Other children were Mrtle, Grace and Berl,all of whom died young.
