"Mr. Jackie R. Turner, age 80 of Dallas, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Jackie was born August 12, 1930 in Coleman to Oscar Brady Turner & Mary Lobenstien (sp). He married Charlotte Jones on December 29, 1948. Jackie is survived by his Loving Wife of 62 years, Charlotte, a daughter; Donna Ascott of Dallas, a son; Ronny Turner of Dallas, a sister; Oleta Boeler, 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. Visitation will be Friday, February 18, 2011 from 7:00 until 8:00 P. M. at Walker Funeral Home. Service will be Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 2:00 P. M. in the Coleman Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Patrick Bennett officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Walker Funeral Home." (Coleman Chronicle and Democrat-Voice.)
