"Mildred Louise Nordyke - Dildine, resident of Puyallup, died at her home June 3 at the age of 81. She was born to Eva and Gordon Nordyke in Hydro, Okla. on April 24, 1914 and lived in Higgins, Tex. before moving to Puyallup in 1934. She was a homemaker and also worked for Elvin's Department Store on South Meridian in Puyallup in the 1940s. She was also owner and operator of the 13th Street Rhodedenron Nursey in Puyallup from 1980 to 1983. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. In 1981, she was preceded in death by her husband Harold Dildine. Surviving are her son Gary and his wife Barbara Dildine of Puyallup; daughters Pamela and her husband Steve Garnett of Tacoma and Marlene and her husband Lloyd Powell of Puyallup; sister melba and her husband Gene Dunlop of Riverside, Calif.; brother Ercel Nordyke of Talala, Okla. and Kenneth and his wife Doris Nordyke of Chalo, Mont.; eight grandchildren; and 17 nieces and nephews. Vistation will be at Hill funeral Home on tuesday, June 6 and Wednesday, June 7 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 8 at 1 p.m. at Hill Funeral Home. There will be a funeral procession to Woodbine Cemetery in Puyallup for graveside services. A fellowship reception wll follows the services." (Tacoma News Tribune, Tacoma, Washington, 6 June 1995.)
