"Mary's last name has appeared with many different spellings. The one I trust the most was obtained from the Mayo North Family History Researh Centre; here it was Monnelly (also Munnelly). This research center also found that Mary was from the township of Carrowmore in Mayo County Ireland. On Mary's son's death certificate her last name is spelled "Manley." Yet it is spelled "Manelly" on her son Martin's baptismal records from St. Mary's Church in Simcoe, Ontario; and "Mannenly" on her burial records from St. Mary's. Mary died in Wayne County, Detroit, Michigan. She was residing at 143 Breckenridge." (Patty Junkins, 2003.)
