"About a year ago, I had a book published that deals with individuals from the Kemper family. The book was titled "Love Amid The Turmoil," and it focused on letters that Captain William Vermilion and his wife Mary Alice Cecilia Kemper Vermilion exchanged during the Civil War. Mary also had a diary and pre- and post-Civil War letters passed down through her descendants, and I am currently working on turning these into another book." (Donald C.
