Affeah "Sophia" G. Ball

Census - Kentucky, Carroll County, 1840 shows Sophia as one of 3 females under 5 years of age in Anthony H. Ball's household and a female 20 to 30. Assume that it was Martha Clark, his wife.
Census - Kentucky, Carroll County, 1850 shows Elizabeth E. age 12, Sophia E., 11 years old, Mary Frances, age 9 and James W. as 6 yrs old. No wife is listed and Anthony H. Ball is head of household. We assume Martha had died in or shortly after the birth of James W. Ball.
Marriage- According to the LDS records on Carroll County, marriage license issued Robert S. Luckett married Aletha G. Ball on Sept. 30, 1857. (Extracted Marriage Records Carroll Co. Ky. Batch M517191 Sheet 0191. Source Call No. 216819 . Microfilm) Also found Affeah G. Ball to Robert Samuel Luckett in Book 2, pg 40 of Carroll County Records, with father Anthony Harley Ball as bondsman.

She and Robert Samuel Luckett had 7 children, Theodore, Henry, Frank, Elizabeth, Jerry, Robert Samuel, Jr. and Walter Anthony. Theodore, Elizabeth and Walter Anthony were the only 3 to live into adulthood.
Sophia died of a heart attack while sitting on her porch, at the age of 91 years, 10 months, 22 days on 30 July 1930.
