"Annie (Louisa Roxanne) Maupin was born on the 28th of July near Deleon to Flavius Josephus and Sarah Louise French Maupin. Annie was the sister just older than my grandmother, Hattie Theo Maupin, 16th of July 1893 near Deleon, to 18th of August 1980, Cameron County Texas. Hattie was the youngest of 9 children born to Flavius and Sarah. Flavius and Sarah Maupin were married in Bedford, Tarrant County TX in 1869 and incidently they were first cousins. Their mothers were sisters, Louisa Valentine Maupin Childers was the mother of F.J and Martha E. Valentine French was the mother of Sarah Louise French Maupin. Sarah's parents, Josiah T. and Martha E. French, are buried in the Bedford Cemetery. Louisa Maupin Childers is buried in the Acker Cemetery, Stephens County TX next to her son Flavius Maupin. He buried her as Louisa Maupin instead of Childers. Flavius land was R.R. & Comanche School land, 11 miles NE of Comanche on Sabana Creek. He received this land in 1883. They sold the land in November 1905 and moved to Stephens County, 12 miles north of Ranger, Eastland County, where Louisa Childers died in 1912 and Flavius committed suicide in 1924 and Sarah Maupin died in 1925, all three are buried next to each other in the Acker Cemetery in Stephens County. a note: there was another Valentine sister in Comanche County, she was Mary Stephens, wife of James Stephens. Louisa had three Childers children in Comanche County, Henry Elihu, Robert Eli and Sarah A. Childers. I believe the Sarah Childers may have died and is buried in Comanche County."
