"I attended Lone Star School for two years and then went on to Cross roads School for six years. The Cross Roads School was located on the corner of our farm, where I was born. The land was given by our father for a school. After marrying Bill Townsley in 1943, we lived in Coleman County, Texas until 1953, when we moved to Dimmitt, Texas in Castro County. We lived there and farmed until returning to Coleman County in 1962. I married Hardy Dockery of Trickham, Texas in 1963. We lived in Trickham until about 1964, when we moved to Brownwood. I work at Brownwood Manufacturing Company, and he works for the City of Brownwood." (Article in COLEMAN COUNTY AND ITS PEOPLE, 1985, page 575.)
