"Douglas and Mary owned a casket making and undertaking business in Lagardo, Wilson County, Tennessee. They are buried near the graves of Asa Greer in the old Lagardo cemetery. William M. Greer was living nearby both Asa and Douglas Hardcastle Shepherd in the different censuses; and the three men listed their occupations as blacksmiths."
