"My father was married to Carrie Lantrip sometime before she was married to Nelson M. McKnight. The info that we got from my father (Howard J. Winter(s), is that he introduced his friend (McKnight) to Carrie on a dance floor one night, and the rest is history. Visiting with my grandfather, A. J. Winter, in 1948 and 1949, in Mannington, Kentucky, I saw Carrie and I can say she was a beautiful lady ... with long, red hair and all. I cannot find any information on their marriage, the first marriage for both of them, sometime between 1931 and 1933. Interestingly, I was born in Mannington, in 1933, to Lillie M Jackson (later Cozart)." (Howard Winter, checkmatein7@earthlink.net, 2006.)
