"It is the recollection of Solomon Castleberry, of the town of Castleberry, Alabama, that his father, Richard Castleberry, came to Georgia, he thought, from Pennsylvania as a Captain in the Revolutionary army under General Nathaniel Greene; that Richard's father or grandfather had come from Germany, and that according to tradition, his, (Solomon's) name had not always been spelled with the 'tle.'
