Charles Sumner Gentry

(October 11, 1878 - April 19, 1959)

Charles Sumner Gentry sold his home to William Oliver Gentry, Laurel Bloomery on 27 Feb. 1905 for $500.00. He got the land from his father for $250.00 on 27 Jan. 1902. Charles helped build the Methodist Church on Gentry's Creek before he left his family and moved to home of Carrol Eggars at Maryville, Tennessee. He then went to Alabama and to Greenville, Mississippi and worked as an architect. He never returned to Johnson County, Tennessee. Charlie had a daughter, Myrtle, who married Marcus McQueen, Shady Valley, Tennessee.
