Solomon "Black Solomon" Younce

"Solomon and Malinda were divorced August 9, 1875 in Mountain City, Tennessee. Malinda sued Solomon for divorce on grounds of adultry. Solomon was found "guilty of adultry" as charged with the said Mat Marsh, alias Mat Greer. (Chancery Court of Johnson Copunty, Tennessee, August term of 1875). The Mat Marsh alias Mat Greer is Martha Greer. Martha was married to Isaac Marsh who died in 1868. Martha and Solomon were married August 15, 1875 in Zionville, North Carolina by Justice of the Peace J. C. Lewis. Solomon and Martha had nine children, three before Solomon and Malinda were divorced. Martha Greer was also called "Mattie."
