"David Crawford Beck was born in Dickson County Tennessee where he lived most of his life. As a man he ran small sawmills in and around the hills of Dickson County. He made his home in Burns, Tennessee and later Pegram and Kingston Springs in Cheatham County. In later years, David moved to Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee to live with his youngest daughter, Willie Mae "Bill" Beck-Childs and her family, until his death."
