"Funeral Services for Jett Parker, 90, of San Angelo, who passed away October 3, were conducted at the J. E. Stevens Chapel, in Coleman at 3:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Rev. Alec Sabo of Abilene was the minister in charge of services. Mr. Parker was born October 14, 1863 in Dewitt County. He moved to Coleman County in 1900 living east of town until several years ago, when they moved into town. For the past two years he has made his home in San Angelo. Survivors include the wife, Mrs. Jett Parker, four sons, J. G. Parker of Coleman, Oscar of Ballinger, E. C. of Long Beach, California, and H. Parker of Borger; six daughters, Mrs. Gladys Vaughn, Mrs. Neal Green and Mrs. Roland Jameson of Coleman, Mrs. Johnnis Green, Mrs. Dee Clifton and Mrs. Bess Anderson of San Angelo; 18 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Grandsons served as pallbearers. J. E.Stevens Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Interment was in Coleman City Cemetery." (Coleman Democrat-Voice, Coleman, Texas, October 5, 1954, page 5.)
