John C. Peacock disapproved of Aden Petty and was angry about the elopment and marriage. Aden had a reputation for being wild, drinking and gambling; and he was Nevada's second cousin. Four months after their marriage, Nevada's father died of cancer. Had 8 children and lived on farms in Waelder, Wharton and Lott. 1920 moved to Clarksville, Red River CO, TX.
