Charles Freeman Austin

(December 18, 1851 - November 18, 1930)

Charles Freeman Austin and Anna Pope Hague married at St. David's Episcopal Church in Austin, Texas.

"I transcribed the Charles F. Austin Cemetery in 2002. There were about six of the Austin headstones that just had the initials and their last name on very old headstones. One of the stones has a J. W. on it that is probably for James Walker father of Charles F. Austin. The other initials are A. M. Austin, J. M. Austin, T. F. Austin who I have as the son of Charles F. and Anna Pope Austin, W. A. Austin, and W. H., Austin. It is located on Highway 183, at Hillmore Road and Colton Road. To get there, go south on Highway 183, past the intersection of Burleson Road, go across Onion Creek and Cottonmouth Creek and take first left at Hillmore Road." (Billie Blackstock, Austin, Texas, 2006.)
