"Joise Ellen Gross was trained as a nurse. When her sister Bessie became ill, she took care of her until she died. Then she raised Bessie's two boys, and later married her brother-in-law John Bratton, who was a traveling salesman. They had no children. The Bratton's were Methodist and they lived at 4711 Nebraska Avenue, Nashville, Tennessee." (Lois Temple FGS 297.)
