From Obituary: Dr. James M. Greear was a pioneer citizen and practicing physician for the past 59 years, specializing in obstetrical work. Graduated from the University of Virginia Medical School in 1883. He was a member of the St. Paul Methodist Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge #343, A.F. & A.M. (for 52 years). He was the first master of the Castlewood Lodge #231. Was an ardent golfer. Dr. James Noah Greear resided at St Paul, Wise County, Virginia.
