"Married at Walton Furnace. Married at the residence of Mr. S. F. Watts at noon April twenty-ninth, by Rev. Chaffin Crockett, Mr. R. Bowen Watts of Tazewell and Mrs. Mamie Redd of Farmville, Virginia. The groom is a son of the late Colonel John G. Watts of Tazewell. The bride is the neice of Mrs. S. F. Watts. Immediately after the ceremony a nice dinner was served by Mrs. S. F. Watts and daughters, which was greatly enjoyed by the few friends who were present. The bride looked lovely in a traveling dress of tan colored cloth. They left immediately for their future home in Tazewell." (Southwest Virginia Enterprise, May 1, 1903.)
