Maj. Gen. Francis Burton Boileau

The late Major-General Francis Burton Boileau, whose death occured a few days since at his residence, Castlenau, near Bognor, at the ripe age of 82, was one of the oldest members of the East India Company's forces, and long held a commission in the Bengal Artillery, from which he retired on half-pay as Colonel, with the honorary rank of Major-General. He was a son of the late Mr. S. P. Boileau, and a member of the noble French Huguenot family, the Boileaus, Barons of Castlenau, who came to this country as refugees on the Revocation of the Edict of Nantes.
