Edmund taught swimming to many children in Colombo, Sri Lanka. He was an employee in the Overseas Telecommunications Services (Cable and Wireless).
Edmund was killed in a motorcyle accident. He was driving a motorcycle when a hook from a passing truck caught his shirt and dragged him off his motorcycle.
He is buried in his family's plot.
