Mr. Templer, age 80, of Charlotte passed away Friday, July 9, 2010 at Levine & Dixon Hospice House. He was born June 16, 1930 in Sri Lanka, son of the late Edmond and Edna Dorothy Woutersz Templer. He was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church and retired from IBM Corporation with over 40 years of service.
A funeral Mass will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday July 13, 2010 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park. Surviving are his wife, Louise M. Templer, 2 sons John Templer and wife Ana Maria of Monroe, NC, Johnathan Templer of Charlotte, NC , brother Desmond Templer of Sri Lanka, 2 sisters, Avice Goodman of Okla. and Jeanne Paternott of London, Eng, four grandchildren David, Adrian, Brock and Makenna.
Memorials may be made to St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 3016 Providence Rd., Charlotte, NC 28212. Arrangements are by McEwen Funeral Service Charlotte Chapel, 5716 Monroe Rd., Charlotte, NC 29212. Published in Charlotte Observer on July 12, 2010
