Col Geoffrey Gordon Templer OBE
(18 Jan 1897 - 7 May 1971)
Was a scholar to Queens College Oxford but elected to go straight to Royal Military Academy Woolwich. Commissioned into Royal Horse Artillery and served throughout the 1914 - 18 war unscathed.
After the war joined Indian Army Ordnance Corp. Served throughout the 1939 - 48 war in India mainly at Jubbulpore. Retired in 1946 with the rank of Colonel - awarded OBE.
Distinguish and active member from the 1920s of the Model Engineering Society and exhibiting regularly at that annual meeting in the Royal Horticultural hall.
