Adolphe Henry Tacquard

Adolphe Henry Tacquard was in born in Hitchcock, Texas, and received his schooling in Galveston.
He married Margaret Elinor "Maggie" Moller July 1, 1896. They built a large home in Hitchcock where their children were born. The house was restored many years ago, and is still a fine home today.
Adolphe was a prosperous rancher, owning fine horses, some race horses, and greyhounds. His registered cattle brand was HB bought from Henry Beguin.
In 1914, while retaining the land, he sold his cattle and moved to San Antonio where his children then attended Peacock Military Academy and Westmoreland College.
In 1920, he traded San Antonio property and bought land in Uvalde County, Texas, where he had 2000 acres of farm and ranch land.
His wife, Maggie, died in 1923 due to an infection.
In 1929, on his way to Houston, Adolphe had an auto accident which caused his death.
