JOSEPH, 6th known child of Thomas Gardner, was born about 1630 (about 16 in 1645/6 when he is anticipated in the train band; near adult in 1649. He married Ann Downing, daughter of Emmanuel Downing. She married (2) 6 June 1676 SIMON BRADSTREET.
