Temperance Gittins
(1765 - 1845)
The possible parents of Temperance Gittins, John Gittins & Sarah Hunt, are suggested by Ancestry ThruLines, apparently with no evidence.
I have not seen any proof of either the first name or the surname of Temperance Gittins, and no proof of who her parents were. The name Temperance Gittins is on FamilySearch Family Tree, apparently without evidence.
It is certain that I descend from John Bruner and his wife, whoever she was, because I descend from their son, Griffin, and I have DNA matches with descendants of at least four of Griffin's alleged siblings: Elizabeth, John M., Richard G., and James R. Bruner. For example, Peggy Jean Crawford, a descendant of Elizabeth Bruner, shares 26 cM of DNA with me [Rex Wilson], who is a descendant of their son, Griffin Bruner. Elizabeth Bruner named one of her daughters Temperance Eizabeth.
Thus, Temperance Gittins was likely the wife of John Bruner, who was born about 1765, and is our common ancestor.
