Betty Margaret Jameson (nee Finitzer), 81 of Simpsonville SC., passed away Sunday February 28, 2010 at the Hillcrest Hospital, Simpsonville, SC. Betty was born May 29, 1928 in Cleveland and had lived in Elyria before moving to Simpsonville in 1993.
Betty graduated from the St. Joseph School of Nursing in Lorain and was employed as a Practical Nurse at Bay View Hospital in Bay Village. She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Elyria. Betty enjoyed reading, especially mysteries. She loved keeping up with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Carol A. Cox (Jim) of Douglasville GA., Raymond (Beverly) of Chattanooga TN., Beth Jameson Snelgrove of Belton S.C. and Ward A. (Debi) of Lorain; 5 grandchildren, Karen, Kevin, Becky, Andy and David and many Great-grandchildren; a brother John Finitzer (Beverly) of Avon Lake and a special niece Elaine Fox (Ron) of Cleveland. Betty is preceded in death by her husband Richard R., a son Ronald W. Jameson, a daughter Margaret Ann Jameson, her parents Adam and Elizabeth (nee Masters) Finitzer; and brothers Adam Finitzer and Joseph Finitzer.
Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 32000 Detroit Rd., Avon, Friday, March 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Funeral Home, Pastor Rick Young presiding. Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be forwarded to the American Red Cross, Lorain County, 2929 W. River Road, Elyria, OH 44035.
