Dorothy R. Jameson (nee Prechtel), age 95, of Avon, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2004 at her home following a brief illness.
She was born July 18, 1908 in Cleveland and moved to Avon in 1940.
Dorothy was employed as a cashier at various grocery stores and was co-owner with her husband of Jameson Homestead Farm in Avon. She was a member of First Congregational Church, North Ridgeville and was a caring parent, grandparent, and neighbor.
Mrs. Jameson is survived by her 2 daughters: Judith J. Georgeff (Edward) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Cindy Wysochanski (Louis) of North Ridgeville; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren; and a brother: George Prechtel of New Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Homer B.; three sisters: Winifred Johnson, Josephine Verber, and Jeanette Prechtel; two brothers: Eugene and Robert Prechtel; and her parents: Edward and Winifred (nee Flannery) Prechtel.
Private family services will be held at the funeral home. Private burial will take place at Elmhurst Park Cemetery, in Avon. Sr. Rita Costello, a New Life Hospice chaplain, will officiate.
Memorials may be forwarded to New Life Hospice, 5255 N. Abbe Road, Elyria, OH 44035. Arrangements handled by the Busch-Bermeister Family Chapel, 32000 Detroit Road, in Avon.
