George Alfred Kirton

George Kirton, a former Evergreen Township farmer, passed away Thursday morning, May 9, at his home at the age of 74 years. 
He was born in Clifford, Michigan, September 10,. 1865, and was united in marriage to Clara Redman on February 15, 1889. 
To them were born four sons and three dauguhters~ A dauguhter~Nellie, preceded them in death. Mrs. Kirton passed away 11 years ago on July 4, 1929. 
On November 10, 1940, he was united in marriage to Mrs. Amy Fisher Holmes. 
Besides his widow, he leaves four sons and two daughters, Mrs. Earl Ivory of Pontiac, Robert Kirton of Detroit, Ben and Manford Kirton of Cass City, Charles Kirton of Flint and Mrs. Ray Andrews of Dearborn; and 12 grandchildren. 
People from a distance who attended the funeral On Saturday afternoon included Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kirton of Detroit, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ivory of Pontiac, Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Howey of Pontiac, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Andrews of Dearborn, Charles Kirton of Flint, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Redman of Eloise.
