Dora Norine "Tillie" Maner

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Dora Norine Maner Tillotson of Uvalde, Texas passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012.
Norine, also known as Tillie, was born March 1, 1920 in Uvalde. Her parents were Jimmy Edgar Maner and Dora Alice Routt.
Norine married Allen Henry Tillotson on August 2, 1941. Allen preceded her in death on April 5, 1956.
She was a charter member of Northside Baptist Church in Uvalde.
She was known as Tillie in the 17 years she worked at C. G. Morrison's Five and Dime and 5 years at Winn's variety store. She used her talent as a seamstress to make her girl's clothes and provide help to her customers with their sewing needs.
Norine is survived by her daughters Barbara Estes (Arlie) of San Antonio, Dora Hightower (Gordon) of New Braunfels, Mary Pinkston (Bobby) of Bakersfield, CA, Kilene Sweeten (Eddie) of Uvalde, and Letha Nelson (Lockett) of Lexington. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 4 great,great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister Nona Peterson of Pima, AZ.
Visitation will be held 6-8 pm Tuesday, April 3.
Services to be held at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary Chapel Wednesday, April 4, at 2 pm. Graveside service to follow at Sabinal Cemetary.
