John C. Southworth, 64, 314 W. Seymour St., died in a Richmond hospital at 5 p.m. Thursday after a prolonged illness. Until ill health forced his retirement, he had been a buffer for the Acme-Lee and Ontario Silver Plate companies in this city. A native of Georgetown, Ky., he had been a resident of Muncie most of his life.
Surviving are his wife, Charlene, and a son, Orville Larry, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Harry E. Beal, Muncie; three brothers, Jeff and Earl, Muncie, and Frank of Dunkirk; a sister, Mrs. Hattie Cox, Muncie; and six grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are being made by the Parson Mortuary.
