Alpha Eileen Boren McCaleb
Alpha “Eileen” Boren McCaleb passed away on September 12, 2015, surrounded by her loving family, following a brief illness. 
Eileen was born on December 18, 1933 on a ranch in Real County, to Alpha Marie and Sam Boren. She was raised in and around Real County, and she graduated from Utopia High School, at the age of 16.
She was known for her kindness, easy laugh and cooking skills. She delighted in feeding her loved ones and the Good Lord only knows how many people arrived at her home as hungry strangers, sat at her kitchen table, were treated like family and left as life-long friends. She had a habit of feeding the hungry and giving to the needy without question. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, four brothers, husband, Herbert McCaleb, Sr. and her adored son, Jimmy McCaleb.
She will be greatly missed and mourned by her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Leo Lamontagne, her sister-in-law, Sharon Boren, her brother-in-law Carrol McCaleb and sister-in-law Ouida McCaleb; her children, Chuck McCaleb, Myra and Larry Hildago, Dink and Vicki Collins, Scooter and Jane McCaleb, Sissy and Bill Clarke, Steve and Candy McCaleb and Frank McCaleb and his significant other, Stacy Miller; her adoring grandchildren, Iva and Ben Williams, James Allman, Megan and Randy Tabor, Lindsey and DD Young, Katie and Charley Goines, Lindsay and Logan Collins, Kyle Wanjura, Erin and Tray Gass, Megan and Travis Owens, Brenna and Jeff Nesbit, Cheyenne and Jack Williamson, Amy and Langtry Hubbard, Kade and Jovawna Hubbard, Kelsie McCaleb, Mason McCaleb, Kaycee McCaleb and Chase McCaleb. As well as, 27 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and various orphans and strays. 
Pallbearers will be her sons, Chuck McCaleb, Dink Collins, Scooter McCaleb, Steve McCaleb, Frank McCaleb and son-in-law, Bill Clarke. 
Visitation will be held at the Nelson Funeral Chapel in Leakey, Tuesday evening, September 15. Services for Eileen will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 16 at the First Methodist Church in Leakey, Texas. Graveside services will follow at Rio Frio Cemetery. 
An additional memorial will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, September 19 at the First Methodist Church in Sterling City, Texas.
Arrangements are under the personal care of the Nelson Funeral Home of Leakey, Texas. The family invites you to attend the visitation and services.
