Benjamin Trott

Benjamin enlisted in 1779 in Capt Nathan Merrill's Company, Col. Mitchell's Regiment. He was a sergeant under Captain Isaac Parsons.
Benjamin Trott of Woolwich, blacksmith, was licensed to keep a ferry from Baxter Point so-called to the head of Arrowsic Island, became bound in Twenty Pounds by way of Recognizance to His Majesty, and with him James Cargil, Newcastle, gentleman, and Jonathan Carleton, of Georgetown as sureties in Ten Pounds each for the faithful Discharge of his Trust, and for his care and trouble therein is permitted and allowed to demand and Receive three Coppers for each person he shall ferry over and four for each Horse.
