Boston 16 October 1670), daughter of HENRY MESSENGER (in his will of 17 November 1686, "Henry Messenger of Boston . . . , joiner, "son of the immigrant, bequeathed to "my loving brother-in-law John Thwyng a gold ring"). (Walter Eliot Thwing stated that John Thwing "married Mary (or Maria) Messinger, January 6, 1669, in Boston," but evidence in support of this date of marriage has not been found.)
3. BENJAMIN THWING, bp. Boston 18 July 1647 "being about 4 days old;" m. by 1670 Abigail Dixon (eldest known child b. Boston 24 July 1670, daughter of William Dixon of Cambridge.
4. RACHEL THWING, bp. Boston 17 March 1649/50 "being about 5 days old;" no further record.
5. EDWARD THWING, b. Boston 14 November 1652, bp. there 14 November 1652; m. by 1675 Elizabeth Lawson (eldest known child bp. Boston 28 November 1675), daughter of CHRISTOPHER LAWSON .
