Born about 1615 (aged 20 in 1635). Ferryman from Southwark, Surrey, who came to Plymouth Colony on the "Elizabeth." First settled at Duxbury MA; later moved to Marshfield. Died between 28 Nov 1671 (date of will) & 5 Mar 1671/2. On 6 Jun 1672, Anna Little deposed that "coming to visit Ralph Chapman a little before his will was made, & his daughter was feeding of him... she uncovering his hands I saw they were swelled like bladders."
Married in Marshfield, 23 Nov 1642, "Lydia Wills," almost certainly daughter of ISAAC WELLS of Scituate & Barnstable. She was not mentioned in her husband's 1671 will.
