Lillian N. Brown VIRGINIA BEACH 
Lillian N. Brown, 90, formerly of Hialeah, Fla., passed away Sept. 13, 2005. Born in Johnston City, Ill., she was the daughter of the late E. Downing Gregory and Nellie Hunter Gregory. Mrs. Brown was predeceased by her second husband of 57 years, Kenneth Walter Brown; her first husband, Sylvester Eugene Coyle; and sister, Mildred M. Thole. Mrs. Brown was a riveter during World War II at Emory-Riddle Aircraft. She was always a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She loved to play bingo and cards. Mrs. Brown is survived by her daughters, Pamela J. Groover (Vincent) of Virginia Beach and Kathleen F. Patrick (Fred) of Clay City, Ky.; brothers, Edward Downing Gregory (Clelia) of Belington, W.Va., and Robert Eugene Gregory (Freda) of Monroe, N.C.; grandchildren, Diana Lynn Church (Ray), Vincent A. Groover Jr., David P. Groover, Mitchell Patrick (Lori) and Kenneth Patrick; great-grandchildren, Dana M. Hadley (Terry), Paul D. Groover, Jared L. Church, Dustin A. Groover, Ashly E. Groover, Brandon N. Patrick and Amber Corrin Patrick; great-great-granddaughter, Elizabeth B. Hadley; stepgreat-granddaughter, Michelle Rae Shoemaker; stepgreat-great-granddaughter, Paige Leigh; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel, Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be private at Rosewood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters or to the American Red Cross. The family would like to thank the employees of Oakdale Heights Senior Living and the Home Instead Senior Care for their loving care of Mrs. Brown. They would also like to thank the residents of Oakdale Heights for their support and affection.
