Albert Gardner "Jiggs" Kelley Obituary:
Mr. Kelley was born on October 4, 1923 in Parks Camp, an oilfield boom town, seven miles from Breckenridge, Texas. He was a graduate of Breckenridge High School and attended North Texas State Teacher's College. He was a Veteran of World War II, First Class Machinist Mate, serving in the United States Navy on the U.S.S. San Bernardino, on the Destroyer U.S.S. Allen, and on the Aircraft Carrier U.S.S. Commencement Bay. Mr. Kelley married Bobbye Jean Bean, also from Breckenridge, Texas, in 1946. She preceded him in death in 1964. He later married Doris Wessbaum from Wichita Falls in 1967. She preceded him in death in 2004. He became a Journeyman Carman after a 4 year apprenticeship with American Refrigerator Transit Company in Pueblo, Colorado. He moved to Wichita Falls in 1950 where he was a car inspector for the Fort Worth and Denver Railroad for 32 years and retired in 1982. He was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Breckenridge.
