Joseph Dodge

( - 10 Aug 1716)

Son of Richard Dodge and Edith Brayne Dodge. It has been thought Joseph was christened at 9 years old in 1651 and was raised in Beverly Essex County, Massachusetts. He married there to Sarah F. Eaton in February of 1671. He was a farmer of his acreage near his father in the Beverly area. The Dodge land became known as Dodge Row and a portion of it remains today as the Dodge Row Cemetery, Beverly, Massachusetts.

He was one of the executors of his father's estate, receiving a liberal share jointly with his brother Edward. They held the same under a verbal agreement until February, 1708-09, when they put their division in writing.

Joseph's sons, Jonah and Elisha, were the executors of his estate.
