Tresa married George Harry Gupwell (1888-1917) in England in 1913.
They arrived into Dunedin in 1913 and left Port Chalmers on the s.s. Remuera, arriving in Auckland 11 Nov 1913. George was a Salesman. He & Tresa returned to England for the sake of his health in Feb 1917 and died there 3 months later

The Scoullar Co., Ltd., of Wellington, have purchased the business of Mrssrs G. Hyde and Co., of Masterton. The reputation the Scoullar Company have built up as artistic house furnishers has already made their name familiar throughout the Wairarapa. Mr G. H. Gupwell will act as local manager and will have associated with him Mr G. Hyde. Mr Hyde will also continue to carry on his part of the business as a funeral director.

The friends of Mr G. H. Gupwell, of Masterton, will regret to learn that the state of his health is causing grave anxiety. Mr Gupwell is at present in Wellington.
Due to George's health, he & Tresa sailed for England on the 'Rotorua' from Wellington on 1st Feb. Just after having landed her passengers at a British port, the Rotorua was torpedoed in the English Channel. The Captain T. A. Sutcliffe and all the crew, but one, were saved. The man lost was Henry Williams, a steward who had signed on at Wellington. George died in England in May.

Word has been received from London of the death of Mr G. Gupwell, which occurred on the 12th May. Mr Gupwell was connected with the firm of Scoullar and Co at Masterton for about twelve months, when he was compelled to take a trip Home for the benefit of his health. The deceased leaves a wife and child.
In 1925 Tresa was a 'widow' of 83 Cole St., Masterton
On 19 Jan 1928 she married Martin Charles Lines
. Martin remarried to Mabel Elizabeth?
She died as Gupwell in 1949
