Evelyn B. Corley, 74 was born January 1, 1932 in Metcalf, Illinois and passed away on Monday, March 6, 2006 in Stockton. Mrs Corley was a longtime Stockton resident and worked as a waitress at Weinstocks Department Store for 28 years. She was married to her beloved husband, James Corley of Stockton for 33 years. Devoted mother of Janice Featherston (Phil) of Stockton, Patricia McArdle (Tim) of Sacramento, James Corley (Pat) of Stockton and stepmother of Theresa Gogna and Norma Salisbury both of Stockton, Sarah Wilson of Crescent City and Robert Corley of Mountain Ranch. Loving grandmother of 16 and great grandmother of 22. Dear sister of Ruth Crossland, Jane Rice, both of Stockton and the late Helen Parris and Dorothy Gibbs, she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Evelyn will always be remembered as a giving and loving person who never met a stranger. She was happiest spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and hitting that big jackpot at her favorite casinos.
There will be visitation at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, Thursday, March 9, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday, Mach 10, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at the DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St., Stockton, CA, Friday, March 10, at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be at Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi, CA.
