RINGLING -- Graveside services for Durward Lee "Jack" Cox, 88, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 23, 2006, at Ringling Memorial Cemetery with Bro. Eric Dennis and Bro. Larry Murray officiating.
Born on Nov. 4, 1917, in Temple, Okla., to Andy Cox and Daisy Cox, he passed away on June 21, 2006, in Ardmore. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace, on Nov. 24, 1991; his parents; and a sister, Dorothy Lambert.
Jack served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He loved to fish and play dominoes.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Janey Cox, Ardmore, and Davy Leon and Vickie Cox, Ringling; three sisters, Jo Billie Lynch, Phoenix, Hazel Parkey, Temple, and Nelda Cooper, Norman; two brothers, Gene Cox, Chickasha, and Creed Cox, Hobbs, N.M.; four grandchildren, Kara and Jennifer Cox, Kasey Dawn Love and Ashley Marie Cox; two great-grandchildren, Logun Ray Love and Cheyanne Mackenzie Love; a sister-in-law, Thelma Scott, Ringling; a special friend and caretaker, Evelyn Reid.
