She moved from Tealridge Retirement Center in Edmond, Oklahoma, to Port Charlotte, Florida, three years ago to be near her daughter Carolyn and beloved son-in-law Ben.Although Lois' physical health and stamina were weakened by rheumatic fever when she was a girl, she was a fiercely independent survivor. She made the best of bad situations and the best pecan pie in the world. She loved to play-make that WIN-at bridge. She loved watching OU football and arguing about politics. While a member of the First Baptist Church of Lawton, Lois sang in the choir. She was also an avid bowler with trophies to prove it. Lois Eubanks made friends easily and lost them only when they died. She performed small, simple acts of kindness, never overwhelming the recipient, never seeking recognition or making demands. A memorial service celebrating the good life of Lois Eubanks will be held at 10:00 A.M. in the parlor of Village United Methodist Church on Saturday, June 23. Her ashes will be scattered in a special location in the Rocky Mountains. Donations may be made to the Village United Methodist Church, 2501 West Britton Road.
