Ruby Zimmie Brown Kimes, 90, of McRae passed peacefully Wednesday, October 12, following a brief illness. A funeral service was held at 3:00P.M., Sunday, October 16, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with burial at New Red Hill Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery.
A native of Telfair County, where she lived most of her life, Mrs. Kimes was the daughter of the late Thomas Hartley Brown and the late Zimmie Birch Brown. A wonderful mother and homemaker, she was preceded in death by a husband, Carl Reese "Lucky" Kimes and sons, Larry Warren and Johnny Warren.
Survivors include her children, Roger (Cathy) Warren of Cedar Grove, James Warren of McRae, Roger Kimes and Kelly (Jeanne) Kimes, both of Tucson, AZ and Kayla (Kelly) Warnock of La Grande, OR; and a sister, Bobby Harrelson of Helena Twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Vaughn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
