J.W. Kincannon, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away October 25, 2015, at the age of 84. He was born August 18, 1931, in Duncan, Oklahoma, to William Perry and Rose Ella (Garrett) Kincannon.
J.W. retired from GM in 1991 as a pipefitter in maintenance. He enjoyed sports, watching ballgames and going to the horse races. J.W. enjoyed barbequing for the family. He loved going to church and Bible study at Crossroads Baptist Church. J.W. enjoyed doing stuff for other people. He enjoyed “bossing" and was a good boss to work for. His first love was spending time with his family.
J.W. is survived by 2 sons, Jessie Ray Kincannon & wife, Pam, of Oklahoma City and Ronnie Kincannon & wife, Gayla, of Moore; 5 grandchildren, Chris Kincannon, of Moore, Jesse Wayne Kincannon & wife, Jamie, of Moore, Ty Kincannon & wife, Mandy, of Moore, Sarah Kincannon & husband, Joey, of Choctaw, and Katy McLaughlin & husband, Jeff, of Sapulpa; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Billy Bob Kincannon, of Duncan; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, William & Rose Kincannon; his beloved wife of 51 years, Sherry Kincannon; grandson, Brandon Kincannon; infant daughter, Linda Diane; and sister, Marguerite Pemberton.
Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, OK. Interment will be at 2:00 PM, at Duncan Cemetery, Duncan, OK.
