Lena Faye Topping White, age 76, of Benton; went to be with her heavenly Father this 24th day of September 2007. She was born on January 20, 1931 in Paris, Texas. Mrs. White was a mother and a homemaker and a member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, of 48 years, Elbert Leon White, a Reynolds Metal retiree; father, Claude Topping; mother, Bertha Topping Stansell; brother, Chester Douglas Stansell and two grandchildren, Tommy Lee White and Chardon Lanae White.
She is survived by two sons, Travis Lee White and wife Betty of Benton and Donald Lynn White and wife Robin of Benton; two daughters, Linda Faye Burnett and husband Coy of Hot Springs and Brenda Diane Mask and husband, Spurge of Benton; three sisters, Irene Topping McMen of Benton, Mary Josephine Topping Nelson of Benton and Mae Stansell Burrow of Malvern; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and many cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Travis White, Donald White, Joe Hockersmith, Jr., T.C. White, David Williams and David Gilbert. Anthony Mask will be an honorary pallbearer.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night at Ashby Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at New Rosemont Cemetery. Bro. Muncy Harris will be officiating.
Family Comments: The family wishes to extend a heart felt "thank you" to the Saline Memorial Hospice Health Care Unit and Mrs. Martha for your loving care as well. Bobby Bare sings in a popular country and western song that there ain't no 10's. Well, Bobby Bare never met Lena Faye White.
